Return to sender: Seattle K-Mart receives 10 pound package of weed
Giving the term “Blue Light Special” a whole new meaning, Seattle police were called to a north Seattle K-Mart Monday after employees called saying that a package of marijuana arrived at the store by UPS, according to a Seattle Police Department Crime Blotter Thursday.
According to the report, the package arrived at the K-Mart store at 132nd and Aurora Avenue N. on Monday. Much to K-Mart warehouse employees surprise, when the package was opened, they discovered 10 pounds of weed wrapped in garbage bags, packing peanuts, and cleaning-fluid-soaked pages from a Korean newspaper as the contents of the package apparently destined for Philadelphia.
Police say the UPS package was sent from Los Angeles and it listed the address of the Seattle Kmart on the return label, for reasons unknown at this time.
Police took the pot and placed it into evidence. Detectives are investigating the case.
