Red’s Randy Armstrong talks Winter Jam 2016, reaching new fans, ‘Plague doctor’
Returning to Winter Jam in 2016 is Red, a “metal Christian” band who brings a unique style, flavor and energy to the tour. Randy Armstrong of Red talks with Dispatch Radio about the tour, how fans are reacting to their presentation and expounds on the story behind the imagery. Check out the full audio below.
Winter Jam, the Christian music tour featuring ten bands for ten dollars, features For King & Country, Matthew West, Crowder, Sidewalk Prophets, Newsong, Lauren Daigle, KB, Tedashi and Trip Lee with We Are Messengers, Stars Go Dim and motivational, spiritual speaker Tony Nolan.
“Of Beauty and Rage” features the shocking image of the “Plague Doctor,” a character which strolls out on stage and “torments” the band during their set. Randy explains how the concept was development, discusses the graphic novel and the Winter Jam experience.
