Rebecca Mader, Wicked Witch to be focus for rest of ‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3
The second half of Once Upon a Time Season 3 will pick up in March with the highly anticipated addition of Rebecca Mader as the Wicked Witch. There is also some confirmation that Red Riding Hood will be back as well.
Fans have been questioning the role and how much the Witch will be present and now, at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, ABC entertainment president Paul Lee took the stage to talk about the future of all ABC shows, most importantly Once Upon a Time.
“The Wicked Witch of the West will be a big part of the @OnceABC back 9 episodes, says Paul Lee. #TCA14,” TV Guide Magazine tweeted from the event.
Examiner reported that viewers will finally find out how the Wicked Witch of the West became so evil and so green. Some of her ties to other characters will also be exlpored, including a discovery of her relation to the Evil Queen. And there may be a brawl brewing for the witch when she has a big fall out with Regina in Oz.
According to TV Guide, fans may be in for a big surprise when Red Riding Hood returns to the series.
“I’m not gone from #Once. Red Riding Hood disappeared into the mist and I’m told she will be back says @meghanrory #TCA14.”
Played by actress Meghan Ory, Ruby (Red Riding Hood in the fairy tale world) started off in season two as a series regular, but unfortunately was rarely seen throughout the rest of the season and hasn’t been featured at all in the first half of season three.
Once Upon a Time returns March 9 on ABC at 8pm.
