Ramonta Yancey surrendered to McKeesport police for Tameka Dallas murder, joining Clyde Cox, Daron Parks
Allegheny County police have confirmed that Ramonta Yancey has surrended to McKeesport police last night without incident in connection to Tameka Dallas’ murder.
Yancey, 26, is the third man detained, joining Clyde Cox, 27, and Daron Parks, 26, all linked to Dallas’ death, who was found dead in McKeesport’s Renziehausen Park Thursday morning.
Yancey will be held on a parole violation warrant as the investigation continues.
“There is reason to believe something is amiss with her death,” Allegheny County police Inspector Andrew Schurman said. “We believe she was placed here (in the park) — that she was not here using drugs and died, but rather she died elsewhere and was brought here by vehicle.”
Schurman’s remarks are clarifying the link and connection to a Chevrolet Impala found Thursday night in a Walmart parking lot in South Strabane Township, Washington County.
The car was seen entering Renzie Park late Wednesday night, near where the woman’s body was discovered the next morning, according to police.
They’ve added that the vehicle was Dallas’ car.
Dallas, 43, of Monroeville, was spotted dead by a passerby walking their dog around 9:45 a.m. Dallas was wearing a yellow sundress, and she may have been dragged from the parking lot to the wooded area where her body was found, police said.
Officials have stated that the cause of death was strangulation.
