Radio blowhard, Mark Levin, threatens the Paul’s

That tough guy behind the radio microphone and neoconservative mouthpiece Mark Levin came out earlier in the week making the following threat:

“If Ron Paul decides that he is going to go third-party, which is detrimental to this nation, and pulls a million votes, which is relatively insignificant in the big scheme of things, I will do everything in my power to defeat his son in Kentucky. I will do everything in my power to defeat his son Rand Paul in Kentucky”.

So what’s the motivation behind the threat from this bombastic gasbag?

Conventional wisdom says a third party run from Congressman Paul, or others for that matter, would give President Obama his reelection.

Although the chance of Dr. Paul making such a move is slim to none, the political and media establishment consistently try to get him to absolutely reject the notion of running third party. Levin’s fellow Republican tool, Sean Hannity would spend literally several minutes in an interview badgering Mr. Paul over this issue. They are obviously scared to death.

But why?

This cast of characters, which include Levin, Hannity, fellow blowhard Limbaugh and even Tampa’s own screeching garden gnome, Todd Schnitt, are convinced that a victory by either Romney or Santorum (last night’s winners) would really be a significant difference over the current, horrible administration.

But would it be?

In my view, these men have records of favoring, promoting and voting for an expanded, larger government, not exactly, but certainly similar to the sitting president.

A matter degree separates Obama, Romney and Santorum. Of course, Obama is a left wing big government guy while Romney is not dramatically far on the political spectrum from Obama. And yes, Santorum is merely a theocratic, big government right winger. Just a matter of degree.

It’s so amusing to hear Levin, a strong supporter of the neoconservative mission of promoting democracy in Iraq, make these silly threats in his own little mission to intimidate others to take away other potential voting choices for American citizens.

What’s it really all about? It’s about whether there is a D or an R behind the candidates name.
