Queens man, Jamal Scott arrested for the shooting death of Mazaradi Fox
A Queens man was arrested today for the January 3 shootings that resulted in one man dead and three injured in Springfield Gardens.
In a NYPD tweet this morning, officials say “ARREST: 35 y/o Qns man for shooting/assaulting 3 others 1/3 near 134 Ave & Farmers Blvd”.
WABC New York identified the assailant as 35-year-old Jamal Scott. In the shooting last month, Scott unloaded his gun on the SUV on the afternoon of Jan. 3 killing 42-year-old Jamal Green, aka rapper Mazaradi Fox.
It is not clear what the motive was or if the two men knew each other.
In addition to Green, three other in the SUV were hot but have since been treated and released.
Mazaradi Fox reportedly had ties to rapper 50 cent.
Scott has been charged with second-degree murder, four counts of attempted murder, four counts of felony assault, attempted felony assault and five counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
