Pixar set to air ‘Toy Story of Terror’ in October, no word on ‘Toy Story 4’
It may not be the highly anticipated Toy Story 4 but fans of the Pixar series will be pleased to know that Toy Story of Terror will be coming to a TV screen near you on October 16, weeks ahead of Halloween.
ABC announced that the half-hour special will be shown at 8 p.m. EDT, and even gave a few details on what haunting tale viewers can expect.
“What starts out as a fun road trip for the ‘Toy Story’ gang takes an unexpected turn for the worse when the trip detours to a roadside motel. After one of the toys goes missing, the others find themselves caught up in a mysterious sequence of events that must be solved before they all suffer the same fate in this ‘Toy Story of Terror!” (IMDB summary below)
Many original cast members will be lending their voice to the special, including Tom Hanks (Woody), Tim Allen (Buzz), Don Rickles (Mr. Potato Head), Wallace Shawn (Rex) and Joan Cusack (Jessie).
Dread Central reported that third-installment Toy Story cast members Timothy Dalton (Mr. Pricklepants) and Kristen Schaal (Trixie), who were part of “Bonnie’s toys,” will also be featured.
Carl Weathers, who will be voicing Combat Carl, a toy who appeared in the original Toy Story and was blown up by devil child next door, Sid.
