Pikachu headed to 2014 World Cup in Brazil as Japan’s soccer mascot
Joining the Japanese national soccer team, known as “Blue Samurai”, to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil this June will be 10 of the most interesting mascots possible.
Pokemon has announced that none other than Pikachu and nine of his buddies will wearing the uniform of Japan national football team as part of the Adidas engine project, according to a recent news release (computer translated).
The Japan National Football team’s official uniform designer Adidas announced the partnership with Nintendo.
Other Pokemon making the trip include Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Chespin.
