Philippines: Negros Occidental woman, Arlene Galan, suffering from depression, goes on deranged rampage killing husband and son, severing husband’s penis
All kinds of horrible things happened early Saturday morning in the home of Johnny and Arlene Galan in Hinobaan town, Negros Occidental after Mrs. Galan, who reportedly suffers from postpartum psychosis, went on an frenzy killing two, injuring three.

According to a report by the Philippine Inquirer, Arlene allegedly hit her 50-year-old husband with a iron bar until unconcious and then cut off his penis.
Galan then went to the kids room to bring her wrath on three of her children sleeping together. With a pair of scissors, the woman stabbed her one-year-old twins, Jay Mar and Jay Mark, and Johnny Jr, who was born four months ago.
When her eldest son, Jevon John, 11, returned from an errand to the store, Galan attacked him also. The older boy was able to get away to seeki help.
When all was said and done, husband Johnny and son Jay Mar died at the local hospital fromtheir injuries.
The other children survived the horrific ordeal.
Galan was detained by police; however, instead of filing charges against the woman, the family want to have her institutionalized at a mental facility instead.
