Philippines: Health officials verifying deaths due to tetanus and leptospirosis
Reports of deaths due to infectious diseases are now being confirmed as Assistant Health Secretary Dr. Eric Tayag tweeted that fatalities due to tetanus and leptospirosis is confirmed on Thursday.
In a string of tweets yesterday, Dr Tayag gave numerous updates:
“All wounds sustained in #YolandaPH shd be considered #tetanus prone All patients should get both anti tetanus serum plus tetanus toxoid”
