Petition initiated to deport Piers Morgan gets the required 25,000 signatures
A petition created Friday on the White House website, “We the People: Your Voice in Government” to have CNN host and British citizen Piers Morgan deported from the United States received the required minimum 25,000 signatures Sunday, as an outpouring of citizens are apparently fed up with his anti-Second Amendment rant.
The petition, said to be started by the Alex Jones website, Infowars, (Kurt N) met the minimum required signatures, which will require an Obama administration response.
The petition states:
“British Citizen and CNN television host Piers Morgan is engaged in a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment. We demand that Mr. Morgan be deported immediately for his effort to undermine the Bill of Rights and for exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens.”
The “We the People…” website received much media attention recently when a plethora of petitions showed up on the government website concerning the secession of the various states from the union, most notably Texas.
The petition to have the CNN host deported is by no means the only one. Four says prior to the “Infowars” petition, another was was already circulating since Dec. 17; however, this one is still short some 21,000 signatures.
