Patience Perez leaves Norfolk Court, hand-in-hand with husband, with a suspended seven month sentence
The former school security assistant with the Virginia Beach Schools, who plead guilty in October to two counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor, left the Norfolk Circuit Court Friday, hand-in-hand with her husband with a suspended seven month sentence, according to a News Channel 3 news report Friday.

24-year-old Patience Perez had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy while working as a security assistant at Renaissance Academy in Virginia Beach when she was 22.
Perez and the underage boy had sex at both of their houses and even discussed a murder plot to take out her husband, Gilbert Perez, via Facebook messages.
The illegal affair ended when the child’s mother went to police after finding naked pictures of Perez on her son’s phone.
Circuit Judge Mary Jane Hall sentenced Perez to four years Friday; however, all but seven months of that sentence was suspended, and Perez won’t have to go to prison right away. That part of the sentence was continued until March 20, 2015.
Perez will also be tried for the same charges in Virginia Beach. She’s scheduled to be in court there next week.
“I hope that that prosecutor cares more about my family than Norfolk did,” the boy’s mother says.
