Orlando murder suicide: Melgan Francois, boyfriend Steevenson Joseph shot by Francois’ ex-boyfriend, Calindry Jeanvre
as authorities release the names of those involved: Melgan Francois, 20, and her boyfriend Steevenson Joseph, 22, were shot by Francois’ ex-boyfriend, Calindry Jean, 28, before he turned the gun on himself.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office added in the new report that Francois and Jean both died. Joseph is expected to survive. Deputies said Calindry Jean shot the couple around 12:30 a.m. Friday as they sat in a parked vehicle outside Francois’ home on Koala Court in Poinciana.

Police added that nobody else was injured and they do not believe anybody else is involved.
“Why do you have to kill?” said Melgan Francois’ father told WESH Channel 2, who added that the man is at a loss after his daughter was killed.
“It was just crazy because we never had nothing like this on our street before, and for it to come happen, people are scared for their lives,” said neighbor Jason Lewis.
The local news report quoted another neighbor who said he heard as many as ten shots fired. “Pow, pow, pow, pow. Then after that, just quiet and then all I hear is sirens coming down,” said J.C. Hiller, who heard gunshots.
Francois and the shooter both died at the hospital.
“He shot her so many, so many bullets,” the victim’s father said. He said this is the worst day of his life.
Francois was taking classes to become a nurse. She leaves behind two young children ages 2 and 5.
