Olongapo beauty queen, Angelee delos Reyes,crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2013

A determined Olongapo City Marketing head left the SM Mall of Asia Arena Sunday night with the crown of Miss Philippines Earth 2013 and earned the opportunity to represent the Philippines in the Miss Earth pageant later this year.

The winner, 25-year-old Angelee Claudett delos Reyes, is a 5’7 ½”graduate of nursing from the Columban College.

Angelee is no stranger to beauty contests and has a string of accomplishments over the recent years–Miss Columban College 2004, Miss Private School Athletic Association 2005 (2nd Runner-up), Bb. Zambales 2007, Mutya ng Pilipinas 2007 top 15 finalist, Bb. Olongapo 2008, Miss Real Estate Philippines Best in Swimsuit, Hiyas ng Subic (non-semifinalist), Miss Philippines-Earth Miss Talent 2009 and Slimmer’s World Miss Bikini Philippines 2011.

Miss delos Reyes, considered to be a beauty pageant veteran, finally made it as a Bb. Pilipinas candidate on her third attempt.

During the pageant Sunday, delos Reyes impressed judges with her answer to the following question, “If you could add another criteria to pick a beauty queen, what would it be?”

She said she would add “a good heart or a genuine heart to take care of the environment…not just for ourselves but for future generations.”

Angelee, who’s ambition in life is to be a successful TV host and/or career woman in the field of Marketing, at the same time a beauty queen who can influence or inspire other people to change for the better, to help my family, make them and the people around me happy.

She said a beauty queen can be a catalyst of change, through influencing/inspiring people to modify their lifestyle, for the betterment of their lives and the rest of the Earth, this is why she wanted to be Miss Philippines Earth 2013.

She bested 46 other contestants from all over the country.

The other winners were Miss Philippines-Air: Kimverlyn Suiza from Nagcarlan, Laguna, Miss Philippines-Water: Nancy Leonard from Zamboanga City, Miss Philippines-Fire: Alma Cabasal from West Coast, U.S.A. and Miss Philippines Eco-Tourism: Bernadette Mae Aguirre from Santa Maria, Bulacan
