NY Times fence photo on front page called propaganda by Glenn Beck
Illegal immigration reform may be making headlines as the Senate bill moved forward for more debate, but the NY Times appears to be working hard to sway public opinion. In fact, conservative radio host Glenn Beck called Wednesday front page photo pure propaganda.
Just about the title of another story “Behind the Cry for Help From China Labor Camp” is the photo of a weeping pair of women grasping each other’s hands through a small hole in a wooden fence.
“If this isn’t the biggest propaganda photo I have ever seen,” Beck said.
The host then joked that it was pretty unbelievable to see this photo captured at this moment in time for a New York Times reporter during this heated season of White House scandals.
“This president is still in there working for the American people, or the non-documented American people,” Beck said.
The article states: “For Mr. Obama, who has picked his shots in the immigration debate to avoid stirring partisan anger on Capitol Hill, it was a moment of promise and peril. While he threw his weight behind the bill, he conceded that it would not satisfy all sides and said he anticipated a bruising fight over issues like border security and the path to citizenship.”
