No updates in Brittany Jane Royal murder case, Boaz Johnson still missing, investigation ongoing

While the body of Brittany Jane Royal was discovered and identified, police are still now any further in explaining her death completely or finding a suspect.

Boaz Johnson, her boyfriend, remains a “person of interest,” needed for questioning to shed some light on her death, but Johnson is missing.

Sources close to both families have confirmed the couple seemed happy, learning that Brittany was pregnant. There were discussions of marriage, buying a house and “settling down.”

Police have offered no new information as Johnson has not been located.

Boaz D. Johnson of Petersburg, Alaska, last spoke to his family at noon Monday (May 27). He was reportedly in Puna.

He is described as Caucasian, 5-foot-6 or 5-foot-7, 145 pounds with short brown hair and blue eyes.

Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts contact Detective Fetuutuunai Amuimuia at 961-2278 or[email protected].

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe.

    Earlier headline says “Wanted For Killing Pregnant Girlfriend” Hope the Global Dispatch understands the ramifications. Maybe it doesn’t matter to them since it appears that ad clicks are much more important then journalism.

      Ad clicks?!? Pffft… Don’t you know they are simply “keeping the truth in the headlines” as their logo motto states while at the same time managing to wildly speculate at important details of the “truth” in the headlines.
