‘Night at the Museum Secret of the Tomb’ trailer offers more Ben Stiller, Lancelot and fun

night at the museum secret-of-the-tomb-photo ben stillerThe gang is all back (Teddy, Dexter, Jed and the crew at the American Museum of Natural History) for Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb, the third installment of a franchise. Ben Stiller returns as Larry with a new adventure involving the museum full of creatures who come to life.

In Secret of the Tomb, Larry tries to figure out why the magic that animates these characters is starting to fail. The action moves to London where Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, Steve Coogan, Ricky Gervais, Rami Malek, Dick Van Dyke, Skyler Gisondo and Mickey Rooney will be joined by a ton of newcomers: Ben Kingsley, Rebel Wilson, Rachael Harris and Dan Stevens.

Officially: “Larry spans the globe, uniting favorite and new characters while embarking on an epic quest to save the magic before it is gone forever.”

There will be a sentimental aspect to the film as the late-Robin Williams is again Teddy Roosevelt. This trailer offers a bit more of look at Lancelot.

Director Shawn Levy appears to grasp what the audience wants from the franchise, so expect more of the same.

Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb opens in theaters on December 19.
