New York shooting: Andrew Dossi, Aliro Pellerano identified as officers attacked
New York police have issued a surveillance video clearly showing one of the suspects of shooting attack on two officers in the Bronz Monday.
A manhunt was underway late Monday night after two plainclothes NYPD officers suffered non-life threatening injures when they were shot in the Bronx while searching for suspects in an armed burglary.
The officers, who were rushed to a local-area hospital, were both in stable condition and expected to survive their injuries. One was shot in his left arm and lower back, the other in his chest.
Police officials identified the officers as Andrew Dossi, 30 years old, who has been on the force for eight years, and Aliro Pellerano, 38, who has been on the force for nine years.
Officer Dossi was shot in the arm and lower back and Officer Pellerano was shot in the arm and chest but the wounds didn’t appear to be life-threatening, police said. The officers underwent surgery at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, a police official said.

New York City Police Commissioner William Bratton said during a news conference early Tuesday morning the officers were fired upon after they spotted two robbery suspects near a Chinese restaurant. The officers returned fire, possibly injuring one of the suspects.
The suspects fled the scene before crashing a carjacked white Camaro, authorities said.

Police have since recovered a 44-caliber gun which matched the weapon used in the robbery.
The suspects remain at large and a $10,000 reward is being offered by law-enforcement for information that will lead to the arrest of the shooters.
