New ‘Justice League’ photo puts Flash alongside Batman, Wonder Woman as Ezra Miller talks about the team
While Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice united DC Comics’ biggest heroes with Ben Affleck‘s Batman, Henry Cavill‘s Superman, and Gal Gadot‘s Wonder Woman, next year’s Justice League will see them recruiting still more members, including Ezra Miller‘s The Flash.
After a couple of cameos in Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad Miller’s speedster will be showcased alongside the big heroes.
Speaking to EW, Miller described the Flash as the “Ringo Starr” of the Justice League: “He annoys everybody, but he doesn’t have any specific beef with anyone.”
This is his descriptions of the team: “Uncle Fish Curry [Aquaman] is very grumpy. Dad [Batman] gets grumpy too. (He’s had a long life of fighting crime.) Wonder Woman is very considerate, so even though she’s annoyed with the Flash, she’s still very compassionate.”
Jason Mamoa’s Aquaman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg will be joining Flash as new members to the team. Amber Heard will be playing Aquaman’s spouse, Mera, who will play a supporting role in Justice League before getting a much more prominent role in Aquaman, directed by James Wan.
Justice League will also star Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor alongside J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) as Commissioner Gordon, Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man) as Vulko and Julian Lewis Jones (Stella).
Director Zack Snyder returns and Steppenwolf is confirmed to be the film’s villain. CBR News can confirm that Apokolips’ esteemed general, and uncle of Darkseid, will be a chief antagonist of Justice League. The Parademons, commonly seen in the comics as Darkseid’s foot soldiers, and teased heavily in Batman v Superman — will play a part in Justice League.
Miller will star in the standalone Flash film on March 16, 2018. Kiersey Clemons will star as Iris West, Billy Crudup as Barry’s father Henry with Fisher making a cameo or appearance of some kind. Aquaman has a release date of July 27, 2018.
Justice League opens in theaters on November 17, 2017.
