New Hampshire Republican debate summary: Bullet-point format
The top seven candidates for the Republican nomination for President met Saturday night in New Hampshire just days ahead of the first in the nation primary.
Here I want to summarize my observations of the debate in a simple, bullet-point format, leaving out any fancy prose.

Donald Trump
- Still authoritarian, “Strongman” who knows how to capitalize on people’s fears
- Totally lost exchange on eminent domain against Jeb Bush
- Still uses playground tactics when defending a position that someone disagrees with.
- Still skimpy on specifics
- Not the brightest bulb on the tree
- Has Fox News and top neocon supporters scratching their heads
- Pure politician
Ted Cruz
- Talked tough all week about Trump, showed lack of grapes in debate
- Struggles with identity while courting libertarians and mainstream Republicans, position muddled
Ben Carson
- Was he even there?

Jeb Bush
- Showed large grapes grappling with a bombastic Trump, blasted him on eminent domain
- Still a Bush
Chris Christie
- Totally dismantled a much less adept Marco Rubio
- Still authoritarian
- Has issues with telling the truth (Matter-of-factly says woman quarantined in NJ returning from Africa was showing symptoms)
- How many years was he a federal prosecutor?
John Kasich
- Able to rattle off years of political experience in Congress and Ohio
- Moderate
- May be perfect fit for NH voter
