New ‘Agents of SHIELD’ promo features ‘How I Met Your Mother’ star Cobie Smuthers and Stevie Nicks music
A new promo for TV series Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been released, and this time the focus is on Avengers star Cobie Smulders.
“The battle of New York was the end of the world,” she says as Stevie Nicks’ thematically-fitting ‘Soldier’s Angel’ plays.
“This is the new world.”
The How I Met Your Mother star’s role in the TV spinoff has been kept pretty quiet. Now fans can get a few more chills with the cameo. Also included are a ton of explosions, and Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) looking sharp in a suit while flying in a private jet.
Joss Whedon is already a fan favorite and promises plenty of “hijinks and hilarity and sex and gadgets” which should please comic book fans. The TV series will also serve as a lead-in to 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, but won’t be full of distracting Easter Eggs.
“It’s a fun opportunity [to have the two worlds meet], but it’s not the reason behind the show,” Whedon also said.
Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Elizabeth Henstridge and Iain De Caestecker also star in the comic book drama.
Agents arrives on ABC September 24, 2013.
