Nevada man, Justin Jasper, arrested near University of Washington campus with weapons, body armor and Molotov cocktails
Late Wednesday, University of Washington (UW) police observed a pickup truck on campus that was reported stolen out of the State of Montana, according to Seattle Police Department (SPD).
The SPD proceeded to conduct a traffic stop of the vehicle and arrested 21-year-old Nevada resident, Justin Jasper and booked him into King County Jail.
During an inspection of the vehicle, police discovered a stolen scoped rifle, a stolen shotgun, body armor, and multiple incendiary devices, believed to be Molotov cocktails, The Daily, a University of Washington publication reports.
In addition to the weapons, police found maps of Seattle University, South Seattle Community College, and the UW in his vehicle, and was planning something in the western United States in support of the Brazilian revolution.
The UW police, Seattle police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are investigating the case.
The Daily reports King County Judge Arthur R. Chapman said during Jasper’s first court appearance Friday that he considered the Nevada resident a flight risk, and a danger to the community and set his bail at $2 million.
