Netherlands’ Geert Wilders praises Trump on immigration, ‘would do the same’ calls for addition of Saudis
Party for Freedom politician Geert Wilders in Netherlands praised Donald Trump for his immigration Executive Order and expressed hope that “you’ll add more Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia soon.”
In a Tweet, Wilders said he “would do the same” and hope the new POTUS adds more countries like Saudi Arabia to the list.
Well done @POTUS it’s the only way to stay safe + free. I would do the same. Hope you’ll add more Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia soon. https://twitter.com/cnn/status/825189261657915393 …
In 2016, Wilders made his own headline after he was found guilty of inciting discrimination against Dutch Moroccans, the Guardian reported.
The “discrimination” accusation has been hurled about at the Trump administration for taking such a harsh approach towards refugees from Syria and seven other war-torn Islamic countries.
“I’m establishing new vetting measures to keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the United States of America. Don’t want them here,” Trump explained when signing the order. “We only want to admit those into our country who will support our country and love deeply our people,” he said.
Wilders has made migration the main focus of his campaign.
