Neocons to declare war on a Rand Paul Presidential candidacy
The neoconservatives, or neocons, that group of former liberals turned Republican who have a very itchy trigger finger and are not adverse to sending our sons and daughters to wars all over, despite most never making a similar sacrifice, are scared of a Rand Paul presidency, so much so they are prepared to “declare war” on the Kentucky Senator.

This past weekend in Las Vegas at the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC), one potential candidate after another, without specifically naming Paul, criticized the more reserved, non-interventionist foreign policy he espouses.
However, this is clearly just the beginning.
The fear of Dr. Paul getting any traction in the 2016 primaries will be force opponents to try to derail any successes.
This is reinforced by a report in Time today:
Several prominent GOP donors at the conference suggested that [Sheldon] Adelson, who spent more than $100 million backing Newt Gingrich and Romney in 2012, is likely to spend vast sums against Paul if he appears to be well positioned in the Republican primaries. Adelson’s spending is largely motivated by his strong concern for Israel, and Paul’s positions may well put a target on his back.
Of course I fully expect this and hopefully Sen Paul is gearing up for the battle, because not only will Adelson and is ilk go after Paul, but I expect his harmonious relationship with many on Fox News will fade as 2016 gets closer.
That’s okay in my opinion. When you have warmongers like John Bolton saying you are “unfit to serve”, you must be doing something right.
If Paul is able to survive the oncoming onslaught of the neocons, I am so confident that many of these people would gladly support the very hawkish Democrat, Hilary Clinton.
