Sonny Coulter

Coulter, 47, allegedly told a neighbor that he had killed someone. Coulter’s former girlfriend called 911 after a Facetime interaction with the killer and she told police that Love’s body was visible on the ground.

Metro police spokesperson Don Aaron explained that the case is centered around girlfriend, with Coulter being the jealous ex-boyfriend, who murdered Love, 29, with a shotgun.

Authorities also stated that the pair have had confrontations previously. On November 18th, Love alleged that Coulter threatened him with a shovel.

Coulter told the woman he was not going to prison and he committed suicide by firearm as officers arrived on the scene.

Coulter was a former resident of Boyers, Marion Township as well as California.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help Love’s family with funeral expenses. Click here for more information.

From the GoFundMe:

Ethan Lee Love was shot and killed on November 29 at the age of 29.  Ethan was a brother, uncle, son and friend to many. My mother and father in law are both disabled and unable to work and are not in a good spot financially. If you guys are able it will be greatly appreciated to help with burial costs and with this happening so suddenly we are asking for any and everyone to donate. Funds will go directly to Pam and Gary Love. Any little bit helps.  Thank-you and God Bless.
