Murrillo Jamies-Soto murders his two teens then self, found in San Diego area motel
Police were investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving a man and his two children at a National City motel Tuesday.
As Fox 5 reveals the details that 39-year-old Murrillo Jamies-Soto, his 16-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter were all found dead in a National City motel room.
Police received a call from a woman around 10 a.m. asking for an “urgent” welfare check at a room at the Paradise Motel on National City Boulevard. When officers arrived, they asked the manager for the key to the first-floor room, which was locked. When they entered, they found the bodies. The children were on a bed, and the man was on the floor, police Sgt. Julian Villagomez said.
All three appeared to have died from gunshot wounds and Jamies-Soto’s wound appeared to have been self-inflicted, according to the sergeant.
Fernando Ayón, a maintenance worker at the extended stay motel, told Fox 5 a woman came to the motel frantically looking for her children before police arrived. The woman said her husband had taken her kids and said had threatened to commit suicide, according to Ayón.
