MoveOn.org’s Anna Galland defends Trump protest after electoral college victory, Wisconsin protesters chant ‘shame’
MoveOn.org Executive Director Anna Galland told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes Monday evening that protests today against the Electoral College vote “serve as a marker for what’s to come, and what is to come is a mass moral, accessible opposition movement,” against Donald Trump.
“Some are calling us a Resistance movement,” Galland said. “Today’s protests are, I think a harbinger, of a mass peaceful movement that we are going to build.”

A woman lost control Monday afternoon in front of Wisconsin’s electoral college delegation met to certify the results for Donald Trump, yelling: “This is my America,” “Everyone of you, you’re pathetic.”
“You sold out our country,” the woman screamed at the electors, standing up. “Everyone of you, you’re pathetic. You don’t deserve to be in America.”
The crowd responded by chanting: “Shame, shame, shame.”
“This is my America,” the woman yelled.
“We’re very excited to represent the hard working activists around the state who delivered this,” said Brad Courtney, the Wisconsin elector who chaired the meeting. “It’s been a wonderful time, and it’s going to be fun to go to Washington in January to watch Donald J. Trump be sworn in as the next president.”
