A British mother and son who now live in Michigan may be facing fifteen years in jail after police learned of their sexual relationship.

Kim West, 51, her son Ben Ford, 32, are now in hiding after the authorities learned of their “incredible and mind-blowing” sex.

They met in 2014 after being reunited following 30 years apart. West revealed she was pregnant while studying in California and after giving birth to her son aged 19, gave him up for adoption .

Under Michigan law consensual incestuous relationships between adults are punishable by up 15 years in prison; therefore, the couple have now gone to ground as US authorities became aware of their relationship.

A spokeswoman for Michigan State police told the Mirror: “Under State law incest between two consenting adult is a third degree felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

“Anyone convicted of such an offence would also be required to sign the sex offenders register for life.”

The spokeswoman said she was “not aware” of any complaint being received.

The couple now say their sex life is ‘incredible’ and plan to get married, but insist they don’t have an incestuous relationship.

Kim told the New Day: “This is not incest, it is GSA (i.e. Genetic Sexual Attraction). We are like peas in a pod and meant to be together.”

She says that she knows that people will have a bad reaction to them, that they will say horrible things but that she is willing to battle for her relationship.

“When I met Kim, I couldn’t think of her as my mum but instead as a sexual being.”

Three days after, Ben broke the news to his wife and told her he was leaving her for his mother. The couple flew to Michigan where they are now getting support from another GSA couple.
