‘Mission Impossible 5’ moves to summer, Tom Cruise and Simon Pegg filming
Fans may be excited and surprised to learn that the next Mission Impossible film has been moved up for a summer of 2015 release. This news comes just days after reports of Tom Cruise and Simon Pegg filming pick-up shots in London and Italy.
Deadline noted the move of Mission Impossible 5 to July 31 and that the film “will face off against Warner Bros’ action remake Point Break, Focus’ sci-fi thriller Self/Less and the Weinstein Company’s boxing drama Southpaw.”

Tom Cruise will be joined by Ving Rhames, who will be returning as Luther in the fifth “Mission Impossible” film
Paramount’s “live-action/CGI hybrid Monster Trucks, which had been set for May 29″ took the Christmas Day release date, noted the site.
Surprising move? Sure, Friday Cruise and cast were in Italy shooting some scenes (more here) and Simon Pegg was mentioned by name in a London shoot with Cruise – details here.
There has been no trailer, poster or promotion, so very little is known about the film.
Jack Reacher director Christopher McQuarrie is re-teaming with Cruise to helm this outing.
The new Mission Impossible will co-star Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames, all confirmed to be reprising their respective roles. Rebecca Ferguson is the new leading lady with Alec Baldwin cast as a top level government official.
The fifth Mission Impossible film will now arrive in theaters on July 31, 2015.
