Mike Weaver talks World Vision, lives being changed

Mike Weaver from Big Daddy Weave opened up about his partnership with World Vision and seeing the fruits of their great works first hand when he traveled to Ecuador and Cambodia during a great interview on Dispatch Radio.

World Vision logo“When I stood on a mountaintop in Ecuador for the first time, 13,000 feet elevation, man, I was like ‘Whoa!’ This is out of my comfort zone,” he explains before being awed by the reality of being told he wasn’t just “in the fog” but “in the cloud” and how the powerful image of kids in need came upon him.

Mike explains how World Vision had put a school on that mountain, “this is where their school was” and how “this was changing their lives…this opening doors that literally no generation before them had open to them because of education…”

Check out the full clip below.

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.

Mike is truly open about his feelings and broken he felt after being exposed to true poverty and the lost souls of these third world communities. Like his brother, he sponsors children and advocates for others to follow his example.

In fact, Weaver explains how and why World Vision is so successful, almost to a fault as they create “self-sustaining” situations, even resulting in being kicked out of some nations.

An incredible testimony and account.

Just a great interview, listen for yourself. Upcoming tour dates listed below.
