The Miami Heat have won the NBA Championsip and LeBron James has his first NBA title ring.
Putting in another dominating performance James notched a 26-point, 11-rebound, 13-assist triple-double to lead the Miami Heat to a high-scoring 121-106 series-clinching victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 5 of the 2012 NBA Finals.
Veteran backup swingman Mike Miller added 23 big points for the Heat knocking down a remarkable 7-of-8 three-pointers as Miami tallied an NBA Finals tying record 14 made threes on the night.
Now LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh can have a championship celebration with an actual championship trophy.
James’ Finals numbers were, remarkably, even more impressive than his 2011-12 MVP season statistics with the 6-8, 250-pound small forward racking up an incredible 29.3 points, 6.0 assists, 10.0 rebounds and 1.8 steals in five games against the Thunder.
The Thunder, who had taken down the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs in an impressive run through the Western Conference portion of the bracket, were led by the 32 points of forward Kevin Durant and the 19 apiece from guards Russell Westbrook and James Harden.
