Megan Young crowned Miss World Philippines 2013
Alexandria, Virginia born, Megan Lynne Young won the crown for Miss World Philippines 2013 Sunday evening in front of the crowd at at the Solaire Resort and Casino in Parañaque City.

The 23-year-old, former celebrity housemate on Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition 2 bested the batch of 24 other Filipina beauties for the right and privilege to represent the Philippines at the 63rd edition of the Miss World pageant to be held in September 28, 2013, at the Sentul International Convention Center, Sentul and Nusa Dua, Indonesia.
Placing after Megan was, in order, 1st runner-up, Janicel Lubina; 2nd, Zahra Saldua; 3rd, Bianca Paz; and 4th, Omarie Linn Osuna.
Megan was crowned Sunday evening by last years winner, Queenierich Rehman.
The film major at De Lasalle College of Saint Benilde got her first show business breal on GMA network’s Starstruck. In 2009, she was one of four chosen to be a new Video Jockey for the relaunching of Channel V Philippines.
Megan Young was the only celebrity candidate in Miss World Philippines 2013.
