Matt Damon discusses ‘Interstellar’ saying it’s ‘just another big awesome Chris Nolan movie’
While promoting Monuments Men Matt Damon spoke briefly about Christopher Nolan’s next film Interstellar.
“I don’t have a big part,” Damon said to MTV, “I was thrilled to be able to work with Chris and I had a blast working with him.”
Little is known about the science fiction romp other than space explorers, a wormhole and interstellar travel.
“I really had so much fun and Matthew… talk about being in the zone. He’s really just crushing everything right now,” Damon gushed. “I think it’s gonna be great. I think it’s gonna be just another big, awesome Chris Nolan movie with awesome performances from Matthew and Anne.”
The trailer only featured McConaughey’s voice over partnered with clips from America’s long history in space exploration. No other characters were revealed.
The story is from a script based on the combination of an original idea by Nolan and an existing script by Jonathan Nolan.
This will be Christopher Nolan’s first film as director since closing out his Batman trilogy with The Dark Knight Rises.
Interstellar stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, Michael Caine, John Lithgow, Ellen Burstyn and Mackenzie Foy.
