Marvel releases new photos from ‘Thor’ and photos from trailer
The latest “Thor” trailer served as an energizer drink to the thirst of fans as the buzz has never been higher. Director Kenneth Branagh discussed the conflict between the two brothers Thor and Loki, who are adversaries in the film, saying “A brother who is unhappy is a dangerous relative to have.”
In the trailer, audiences get a glimpse of the action and more exposure of Natalie Portman and her partnership with Thor.
The arrogant Thor is pulled into a conflict, most likely orchestrated by his mischievous brother, and ultimately fights to protect the innocent people on earth. Chris Hemsworth, the star who plays Thor, discussed the characters’ movements and the transition to action sequences:
“Thor’s movements is closely linked to Mjolnir, his legendary war hammer. He spins it and throws it and it flies and comes back. Working out how to use that as a weapon practically and it’s advantages and disadvantages, and then developing the style of how he fights and the body positions that he has in the comic books and trying to use some of them… It was great!”
“Thor” arrives in movie theaters May 6, 2011 starring Hemsworth, Portman as well as Anthony Hopkins (Odin, Thor’s father), Tom Hiddleston (Thor’s troublemaking brother Loki) and Rene Russo (Norse Goddess Frigga).

My first effort at “blogging” before it was called “blogging” was a Pop Culture, Comic Book column at CrazedFanboy.com.
A lot sure has changed since these days.
Due to the support/pressure from my DOB comrades, Splash Page was resurrected to publish Pop Culture topics and the “State of the Nation” will continue to deal with politics and heavy issues.
To kick off the new year, 2011, I started a National column for Examiner.com discussing Comic Book Movies: http://www.examiner.com/comic-book-movies-in-national/brandon-jones
Beginning in December of 2010, I began writing on Examiner.com, check out my articles there: http://www.examiner.com/comic-books-in-tampa-bay/brandon-jones
