Mark Wahlberg talks ‘Ted 2’ and says ‘Transformers 4’ shoots in May
While promoting “Broken City,” actor Mark Wahlberg offered an update on two sequels he has in development: “Ted 2” and “Transformers 4.”
“Ted” was a huge success in 2012, earning over $200 million. The actor talked to Collider about moving forward on a second film with “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane.
“I believe we’re doing “Ted 2″ right after (Transformers) they are working on it right now…Seth’s ideas for the second one are sick. He comes from television, so he knows how to tell the stories man like most people don.t”
Wahlberg is starring in director’s film “Pain and Gain” and he says that’s what made his casting on “Transformers” happen.
“That’s why “Tranformers” came about because we had such a great time working together. Kinda complement one another throughout the entire process.”
To ComingSoon.net “Michael Bay and I just did Pain & Gain and we had such a good time making it. He came to me and said, “I’m kind of doing a whole different reboot on Transformers. Are you interested?” I said, “Yeah, I’ll do it!”. I loved the idea and I think we can make something really cool and kick-ass. This is not something where it’s already established and I’m just in there to get a paycheck. I’m thinking this is the most important role of my career and I can do something really special.”
He confirmed that “Transformers” will begin shooting in May 2013.
