Mark Wahlberg stars in new ‘Transformers Age of Extinction’ poster, trailer
A new poster has arrived online Tuesday for Transformers: Age Of Extinction, the fourth film in the blockbuster franchise.
This new poster stars Mark Wahlberg, seen packing some serious firepower – some sort of sword / gun hybrid, that looks almost as long as our hero is tall.
The tagline reads “the rules have changed”, which seems appropriate for fans since this is the Transformers film that is finally set to introduce the Dinobots.
And what can fans look forward to in this installment? “It’s a bit more of a darker vision of the Transformers world… It’s not a kids movie, I’ll tell you that much,” says star Titus Welliver.
The last three Michael Bay Transformers movies were all PG-13, it’s probably safe to say Bay is contractually obligated to do the same with Age of Extinction.
Welliver’s warning is not about an R-rating, but a warning to parents about the violence and intensity- check out the full synopsis below
The new film stars Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci, T.J. Miller, Titus Welliver, Han Geng, Sophia Myles, and Li Bingbing.
Transformers: Age of Extinction opens in theaters on June 27, 2014.
Synopsis: Starring in “Transformers 4″ is Jack Reynor in the starring role of a race car driver. The talented and beautiful Nicola Peltz has been cast in the female lead role of Reynor’s girlfriend. Mark Wahlberg has signed on to play Nicola’s father Flynn Vincent. Sophia Myles will play a major role as a scientist. Peter Cullen returns as the voice of Optimus Prime, and Glenn Morshower reprises his role as General Morshower. Kelsey Grammer was recently cast as the lead villain named “Harold Attinger”.
Directors Guild of America DGA Award winner Michael Bay will return to direct his fourth installment of the film series from a screenplay written by Ehren Kruger.
