The Step Up franchise adds another chapter this summer as Step Up All In comes to theaters. Star Mari Koda spoke with a The Global Dispatch in an exclusive interview this week about the film, returning to play Jenny Kido and the incredible fans all over the world.

Mari explains why she loves playing Jenny (check out one of the great scenes below) and how grateful she is to come back for another film. She confesses that she’s amazed at the popularity of the films and how fans respond from Europe to Brazil.

She exudes high energy and the interview dives into her roots in Japan, how her father and friends reacted (or not) as she set out to come to America and pursue her dream.

We have a bit of fun talking about Jenny finding a love interest, so you don’t want to miss the end of this interview.

Check out the full interview below, it is fantastic.

Step Up All In is still listed as opening July 25, 2014 (Mari claimed it was arriving on Aug. 8, so check the schedule nearest you to be certain)
