March For Life 2018: Texas Right to Life’s Rachel Bush details the rally, speakers and photos

Texas Right to Life’s Rachel Bush spoke with the Dispatch on The Brandon Jones Show about the 2018 March For Life, detailing her experiences and those of 19 students, Dr. Joseph Graham Fellows.

“This was my third experience at March For Life,” Rachel says. “There was so much joy and zeal for life. There was a different energy,” she added, pointing to President Trump becoming the first President to address the march.

Of the students, this was the first experience for some, the “first trip to Washington DC” for others, Rachel explained. “The March for Life, attending the March for Life was just their dream, something they looked forward to for years.”

Founded in 1973, Texas Right to Life is the oldest and largest Pro-Life organization in Texas. Recognized as the statewide leader of the Pro-Life movement in TexasTexas Right to Life works through legislation and education to protect the rights of the unborn, persons with disabilities, the sick, the elderly, and the vulnerable through legal, peaceful, and prayerful means.

Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA), who was joined on stage by her family, including her 4 year-old “miracle” daughter Abigail, and made the greatest impact on Rachel and many of the students.

“She just gave so much hope to a situation which is usually full of hopelessness.”

Beutler explained that she and her husband were told the baby had a “zero percent chance” of survival, and that most parents in their situation opt to get an abortion.

“We prayed, we cried…and in that devastation, we saw God,” Beutler said. Unwilling to abort, the couple sought doctors and experimental treatments that could give their daughter a chance at life. Of course, that child is Abigail, standing right there on stage before thousands.
