Manitoba: Eighth confirmed measles case reported, patrons of Winnipeg strip club warned
Manitoba health officials have announced the eighth laboratory-confirmed measles case of 2014 in a Winnipeg man, prompting them to issue a warning to people who patronized a local strip club he went to.

Health authorities say the individual is a man in his 30’s who lives in the area of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. They are advising people who were at Teasers Burlesque Palace, 611 Archibald St. on Friday, April 25 from 10 p.m. to midnight that they may have been exposed to the contagious viral disease.
This public health notice apparently upset the owner of Teasers Burlesque Palace, saying she feels her business is being singled out, according to a CTV News-Winnipeg report Friday. For more infectious disease news and information, visit and “like” the Infectious Disease News Facebook page.
Teaser’s owner, Robin Skolnik says she understands the importance of telling the public about the case, but says the province should release all the locations the person has been, not just one at a time. She went on to say business was affected Friday.
