‘Mad Max Fury Road’: ‘Unbelievable’ says Tom Hardy, who is confirmed for 3 more films
Mad Max: Fury Road is one of “most anticipated films of the summer” as Tom Hardy takes over the franchise made famous by Mel Gibson years ago. The Dark Knight Rises star joins Charlize Theron in the rebooted franchise with director George Miller and Hardy confirms he’ll be back.
“I’ve never been more excited and out of my comfort zone,” he says of Fury Road, adding that it’s “f***ing unbelievable”. During the interview with Esquire he confirmed that he’s set for a further three Mad Max films, though as he says, “Everything’s based on figures and how things are perceived. Inevitably it’s a business.”
The trailers have excited the fans and Hardy throws more gas in the frenzy with this details look at the new film.
“We were in the middle of nowhere, so far away from the studio system that [Warner Bros] can’t really see what’s going on, and just getting things to and from the set was a nightmare. We’d lose half a vehicle in sand and have to dig it out. It was just this unit in the middle of x-million square-kilometres of desert, and then this group of lunatics in leathers, like a really weird S&M party, or a Hell’s Angels convention. It was like Cirque du Soleil meets f***ing Slipknot.”
Max Rockatansky, has only “between four and 20 lines” in the entire film, so expect action, explosion, crazy characters and plenty of chase scenes.
