‘Luke Cage’ season 2 set for June, first photos released

Season 2 of the comic-based series, Luke Cage, all 13 episodes of which will start streaming on Friday, June 22, Netflix announced Tuesday.

Picking up after a full solo season and a key role in The Defenders, Cage now has a certain degree of celebrity status now that the people of Harlem know he’s literally bulletproof.

“But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can’t save,” the official season synopsis previews.

Luke himself has a few things to say about any who might think about going toe-to-toe with him. Check out the clip below.

Luke Cage showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker is back for Season 2, spearheading 13 all-new episodes. Moreover, Lucy Liu directs the Season 2 premiere, with Simone Missick, Alfre Woodard, Theo Rossi, Mustafa Shaki, Gabrielle Dennis, and Rosario Dawson filling out the cast.

Luke Cage season 2 will premiere on Netflix on June 22, 2018.
