Lauren Shaw talks ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ ‘Monday at 1101am’ praising John Malkovich, Kathryn Bigelow
Zero Dark Thirty proved to be blockbuster hit and actress Lauren Shaw spoke with Dispatch Radio about her unexpected role in the film, working with Kathryn Bigelow and what that meant to her career.
“I got brought over initially to stunt double for Jessica Chastain in the film. I got stunt driving in that…Kathryn approached me said that there’s this female character at big bomb explosion…and we want to write you into this,” she explained.
“It was an incredible opportunity,” Lauren concluded before praising Bigelow, talking about the direction on set, the attention to detail and the fallout as the Awards started pouring in.
Lauren also starred with Charles Agron in Monday at 11:01 AM, as “the girlfriend” and Lauren promises “there’s plenty of action…it’s a thriller” with a “very interesting psychological element to it too…”
She stars in Relentless as the mother who loses her child to a human trafficking ring and talks about how the story brings the issue home, right to “our doorstep…”
Lauren discusses many of her projects, who inspired her and working with John Malkovich on Crossbones.
