‘The Princess Bride’ Musical
A musical adaptation of The Princess Bride is finally coming to the stage.
“Finally,” because we know fans are clamoring for such an event and the execs at Disney have finally caved.
The Princess Bride author and screenwriter William Goldman will develop a stage musical version of the classic story after a deal with The Mouse.
Goldman penned the fairy tale novel The Princess Bride in 1973 and wrote the script for director Rob Reiner’s fantastic 1987 feature film adaptation, so it’s fitting that he’ll also be behind the stage musical. Source: THR.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug: Beorn’s house
New featurette worth checking out.
The marketing has kept Beorn (Mikael Persbrandt) under wraps, and for those who don’t know, he’s a “skinchanger”. Warner Bros. has released a new featurette about the character, and Ian McKellen best describes him as, “A man who is sometimes a bear, and a bear who is sometimes a man.” This transformation calls for a large house , and the featurette literally goes inside Beorn’s home.
