Kristen Stewart cheating scandal dominates the tabloids, crushes Robert Pattinson

A “heartbroken and angry” Robert Pattinson has yet to speak publicly on the betrayal of gal pal Kristen Stewart, but a friend close to the actor says he has lost more than a girlfriend in the cheating scandal, he has lost the woman he wanted to marry.

The “Twilight” actor had been making plans to propose to Stewart, his partner of three years, and wanted to “spend the rest of his life with her,” a friend told Us Weekly.

The magazine also reports that the lovestruck heartthrob had urged the media-shy Stewart to talk more openly about their relationship and that she was then heard gushing at a June 23 wedding in New Jersey that she was ready to have a baby with Pattinson.

Stewart and Rupert Sanders reportedly have never had sex, but Pattinson is devastated by their infidelity?

While headlines have called Stewart and Sanders’ involvement a “fling” or an “affair,” pictures obtained by Us Weekly show only embraces, kisses and the actress leaning back in the driver’s seat of her car as her “Snow White and the Hunstman” director busies himself “kissing her entire body.”

Sanders’ father, Michael, is in the no-big-deal camp.

“From what I gather nothing really happened and it is all a lot of fuss about nothing. I should imagine it was something very brief,” he told People, which had the exclusives on apologies from his son and KStew. “She is a very pretty girl and when you work that closely with someone for so long, sometimes things happen.”

Stewart issued a pleading public apology to Pattinson for her “indiscretion” Sanders, who is a married father of two. The repentant Stewart was photographed just two days after her steamy fling with Sanders, and appeared to be brushing tears from her face.

“Kristen feels she made a terribly naive mistake and will do anything to make amends. The fact that Liberty and Rupert have two kids has now dawned on her and she feels awful for what she did,” a source told Radar Online.

I hope Rob has the good sense to drop her. It’s one thing to consider forgiving a cheater, but she jeopardized someone else’s family as well as her own relationship. I’m not saying it wasn’t mutual, but while I may be able to forgive a cheater, I could never forgive someone who destroyed a family.
