Kim Chiu & Xian Lim’s Bride For Rent made Php21.2M on its first day

Just this afternoon, Jan. 16, 2014 (Philippine time), Mico Del Rosario, an advertising and promotions manager of Star Cinema, confirmed that Bride For Rent, second movie together of Kim Chiu and Xian Lim, made millions of pesos at the box office on its first day of showing.

“Amazing! On its first day, Bride For Rent made a whopping Php21.2M at the box office. Congratulations to the entire team. Pang-MMFF levels ang lakas ng Kim-Xian love team,” Mico Del Rosario posted. After a few minutes of posting on Instagram, Kim Chiu and Xian Lim received congratulatory messages from their supporters in and outside the country.

Star Cinema or to whom it may concern: Can you please arrange international screenings na for the movie mamamatay na kami sa sobrang excitement dito sa abroad,” Wannaquomasabe commented. “Wow! Congrats KimXi, Direk Mae and to the whole Bride For Rent team. Sulit na sulit ang pila and ang bayad,” Fullmoon Girls said.

Meanwhile, an Instagram user based in Butuan City, Philippines revealed that despite the typhoon, the fans and supporters of Kim Chiu and Xian Lim decided to watch Bride For Rent. “Congrats po sir, dito sa Butuan kahit signal #2 surprisingly napuno yung sinehan, 11:20 am start 1st show & me and my mom was the 3rd & 4th people inside the theater, seconds later unti- unti nang dumami mga tao.”

“May isa nga pong grupo more than 10 yun sila pumasok nakakatouch kasi all ages, lolo lola, mga anak nila at mga apo. Congrats po sa lahat nang bumubuo nang #BrideForRent@chinitaprincess@xianlimm of course sa Star Cinema, grabe kayo gumawa nang movie!”
