Kendrick Johnson death: One of the biggest mysteries, conspiracies of 2013

The pursuit of the truth can be a long and difficult journey and for the Johnson family: it’s almost of year of seeking answers surrounding the death of their teenage son, who was found dead in his high school’s gym, wrapped up inside of a wrestling mat.

Kendrick JohnsonFBI seizure of the surveillance videos is the latest chapter in this long saga as U.S. Attorney Michael Moore issued a subpoena for computer hard drives containing the original surveillance videos of the old gym at Lowndes High School in Valdosta.

Initial autopsy results led officials to proclaim that the teen’s tragic death was an accident, possibly caused by a piece ofclothing falling inside the rolled mats and Johnson failing to make it out of the mats after trying to retrieve it.

Yet that explanation didn’t convinced Johnson’s father, who fears that his son may have been murdered and left in the rolled mats to be discovered later.

The coroner spoke out in April, alluding to problems with the investigation and questionable instructions from the local law enforcement.

Protests followed, arrests were made, Reverend Al Sharpton offered his support, but it was in October when the shocking news became a national headline: Kendrick Johnson’s death wasn’t an accident and his body was buried with newspapers etc…many of the organs and body parts were missing.

CNN got involved and the surveillance videos were obtained.

Sadly, this led to more questions and not answers as the Johnson family still doesn’t know exactly what happened to their son on that fateful day in January of 2013.
