Keith Ellison abuse cover up ties to more Democrat money, Karen Monahan won’t share video evidence

A lawyer who “was unable to substantiate” the domestic violence allegations against Rep. Keith Ellison is a partner of a law firm that donated more than $500,000 to Democrats since 1998, with nearly $50,000 to Ellison directly.

The victim, environmental activist Karen Monahan. says she possesses a video the Minnesota Democrat physically abusing her but has not released it because “You are not entitled to my pain and trauma,” Monahan tweeted Monday.

An investigation into the alleged abuse came to an end Monday after Monahan refused to turn over the video that allegedly showed Ellison screaming at Monahan while dragging her by her feet.

Monahan’s allegations have hung over Ellison, the deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee, as he campaigns to become Minnesota attorney general.

Even so, very few Democrats in Minnesota believe Monahan, according to a September poll.

Susan Ellingstad is a partner at Lockridge Grindal Nauen P.L.L.P law firm and was picked by Minnesota’s Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party to investigate Monahan’s allegations of domestic abuse after she came forward in August.

“An allegation standing alone is not necessarily sufficient to conclude that conduct occurred, particularly where the accusing party declines to produce supporting evidence that she herself asserts exists,” the draft says. “She has thus repeatedly placed the existence of the video front and center to her allegations, but then has refused to disclose it.”

Monahan alleged that Ellison physically and emotionally abused her when the two were dating sometime after Ellison divorced in 2012 until Ellison and Monahan split in 2016.

Monahan’s son Austin Aslim Monahan first aired the allegations against Ellison on Aug. 11 and claimed to have seen evidence of Ellison’s abuse.

“I was using my moms computer trying to download something and I clicked on a file, I found over 100 text and twitters messages and video almost 2 min long that showed Keith Ellison dragging my mama off the bed by her feet, screaming and calling her a ‘fucking bitch’ and telling her to get the fuck out of his house,” he wrote in a viral Facebook post.

Monahan’s son added:

Sitting all this time, watching what our mom went through and not being able to say or do anything was hard as hell. None of you know the hell our family has gone through. I don’t think half of you would even care. We watched her so called political friends stand by say or do nothing. People had an idea what happened and never reached out to my mom. The same people who are posting about social justice are ready to smear my mom, protect a person who abused her and broke the law.
