Kathy Griffin on Fox News ‘bane of my existence,’ talks Anderson Cooper, New Year’s antics
Comedian Kathy Griffin has talked openly about disliking Fox News, but she took it one step further on HuffPost Live, telling host Marc Lamont Hill that she finds Fox News even more irritating because her mother watches it, and that she used to Griffin “hate watch” the network for comedic material.
Griffin: “The bane of my existence is that my 94-year-old alcoholic mother calls Bill O’Reilly her boyfriend… That’s a bitter pill to swallow. And she thinks that Sean Hannity… delivers news.”
Griffin also sounded off on her bestie, Anderson Cooper, saying, “I’m his personal war zone.”
Griffin: “He’s terrified. He says that he sweats more with me on New Year’s on those risers in the middle of Times Square — where one year I believe it was 13 degrees — than he does in any war zone. And I take pride in that. I am his personal war zone. This is his war zone, right here.”
She’s made headlines over the years with her New Year’s antics, most notable was the “Crotch kissing” incident of 2013 – more HERE
