Yesterday, Dec. 25, 2013 (Philippine time), young actress Kathryn Bernardo, posted a photo of her family on Instagram with caption “We decided to celebrate Christmas because of lhexine. She’ the best present we have ever received. Happy holidays everyone.”

Based on her wiki profile, the young actress and rumored sweetheart of Daniel Padilla is a member of INC or Iglesia Ni Cristo. INC is a Christian denomination religion that originated in the Philippines in 1914 under its founder Felix Manalo.

INC members are not celebrating Christmas. This might be the reason why Kathryn received and continues to receive negative reactions from bashers online.

Iglesia si Kathryn dba? Bakit may Christmas tree?’  Oo nga , dapat di niya na lang pinost .  E, di sana wala ng christmas tree. grabe! Nabubulag tayo ng kasikatan.

Aside from negative comments from bashers, Kathryn also rceived positive reactions from her followers. According to superallaine, Kathryn is just enlightening the heart of her fans.

She just did that to enlighten the heart of her fans and somehow thank them for supporting her all her way to success. You just need to accept her privacy and can’t you just mind that simple ‘Merry Christmas’ greeting?

IGLESIA NI CRISTO OF FELIX Y. MANALO IS NOT ONLY A CULT. IT IS ALSO DEMONIC!!! ITS LOGO REVEALS SATANIC MEANING!

The iglesia ni cristo(INC) has all the basic elements of a cult. Exclusivity, deception, manipulation, control, and constraint. INC members won’t even read this because they are afraid of knowing the truth.

Iglesia ni cristo are master of twisting things and make them look good. It started with their founder who twisted the scriptures because he didn’t understand the scriptures, so he twisted the scriptures to refer to himself. He’s so cunning to fool his people –twisting the Scriptures so he could insert himself and his church! Gospel of Manalo uses the technique called Classical Conditioning.

Deception and twisting of the scripture make his members believing a lie, with a very shallow reasoning people are being fooled with what the INC ministers are saying. Dictator-like control they have over their members through brainwashing. As a human being you have the right to worship or not as you choose.

In classic cult fashion, iglesia ni cristo demands strict obedience from its members. More cultishness: the church is a family business.

The cultic nature of iglesia ni cristo is its claim to be the sole source of truth and salvation. This may seem odd since Christianity, as a whole, makes these claims of exclusivity, too. The difference is that, while Christianity does make exclusive claims, individual churches / denominations do not (or at least should not) claim to be the sole source of that exclusivity. True churches recognize that there are other Christian churches outside of their own denomination that are rightfully Christian and that we can all believe different things on secondary doctrines, yet still all be saved. Jesus Christ Himself said that salvation is found in Him, that He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), not membership in a specific church.

    1. Total control of the “church”, its members, and its businesses are kept within the Manalo Family. After Felix Manalo died, his son, Irano Manalo took over. He was then succeeded by the grandson, Eduardo Manalo. They are like Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il, and Kim Jong Un of North Korea.

    2. They are taught that the only path to salvation is through their church and those people outside iglesia ni cristo will be burned in hell (Yes, all billions of human beings are going to burn in hell. 99% of heaven will be Filipinos).

    3. They promote extreme bigotry against other religions specially the Catholic Church. All members are completely anti-Catholic.

    4. Members are not allowed to read the bible and think for themselves. They are taught that the official interpretation of the Scriptures comes from the Central Administration of INC only.

    5. Members are not allowed to join labor unions.

    6. They are not allowed to file cases in court against fellow members.

    7. They are not allowed to marry non-members.

    8. They are pushed to vote only for politicians endorsed by their leaders. (INC wields political clout through block voting)

    9. They are taught to believe that iglesia ni cristo was prophesied in the bible (in spite of the fact that this
“prophesy” is a strung-up story of different verses taken from different books of the bible. Add to that, different versions, with some not recognized as authoritative like the Lamsa bible).

    10. Excommunicated members are disowned by family and friends. They would suffer ridicule, embarrassment, sometimes harassment from members. He/she may even lose his/her job.

According to iglesia ni cristo, all of the above rules and regulations are mandatory in order for a person to be saved. The Bible, of course, teaches that salvation is “the gift of God, not of works, lest any man
    boast” (Ephesians 2:9).

As is abundantly clear, the iglesia ni cristo is a cult. They deny essential historic Christian doctrine—namely, the Trinity and the divinity of Jesus Christ. They hold an almost unbreakable grip on their members, and they impose a man-made path to salvation through service and works. Our Lord predicted that in the last days there would come many who claim to be Christ and lead people astray (Matthew 24:5). Thankfully, He also said that the true believers would not be turned away (John 6:37).

As Christians, we must be wary of the teachings of false messiahs and cultic offshoots of Christianity, such as the iglesia ni cristo. We must be well grounded in the word of God so that we can spot these purveyors of falsehood.

We must also realize that the people who are trapped in these cults need the salvation that can be found in Jesus Christ—the only Son of God—just as much as we did when we were lost in our sin.

INC don’t celebrate Christmas, their own birthday’s and Halloweens. Iglesia relies on anti-Catholic scare tactics as support for its own doctrines, which cannot withstand biblical scrutiny. The Iglesia tries to convince people of its doctrines not by proving they are right, but by attempting to prove the Catholic Church’s teachings are wrong. “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28)—an event many in Iglesia have difficulty dealing with. When confronted with this passage in a debate with Catholic Answers founder Karl Keating, Iglesia apologist Jose Ventilacion replied with a straight face, “Thomas was wrong.” The Iglesia accuses everyone else of mistranslating the Bible, when it is Iglesia that is taking liberties with the original language. INC aren’t the true Church of Christ because they were not founded by Christ. Felix Manalo’s not a true prophet, his total apostasy doctrine is in flat contradiction to Christ’s teaching. There is no way that Iglesia ni Cristo can be the true Church of Christ.

Maybe you should get your facts right first before you post something against a religion that has not done anything to you (: We do celebrate our birthdays- we don’t celebrate anything that is not written in the bible.

  4. Noel says:

  5. Noel says:

Like Yasmien Kurdi, that’s what fame and money could do to a member of INC. Kathryn is now expelled from the church.
