Kapow ‘Thor’ panel offers more footage and insight into film

Saturday Kapow Comic Con offered a “Thor” panel featuring star Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) as well as three exclusive Thor clips, one of which was 20 minutes long – very well described by DIY
Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and his son Thor (Hemsworth) are rocking Asgard as an argument results in the Thunder God being stripped of his powers and banished to Earth (aka Midgard for Thor comic buffs). Thor then meets We see Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), and her companions played by Stellan Skarsgard and Kat Dennings.

The comedic moments result in cheers and laughter as well as fanboy celebration when Marvel creator makes his obligatory cameo. The aforementioned cameo of Hawkeye had folks buzzing afterwards. Emotions seem to hit their mark with the audience especially when the Earth bound Thor is unable to wield his hammer.

Hiddleston delivers as the villain Loki in the short snippets revealed to the audience, leaving many to ponder if he’ll steal the show.

Hiddleston is ambiguous about appearing “The Avengers” leaving fans to sitr up some new rumors and Hemsworth discussed the balance for the myriad of characters in the Joss Whedon epic.

There was great chemistry between the two stars which hopefully translates to the big screen on May 6, 2011 as “Thor” lands in theaters.
